This skirt, dear friends, did not fit a month ago. And now it not only fits but it's a little loose on me! WAHOO! I have three more skirts that I can't fit into at the moment, but hope to sometime in the next month or two. Here's to Bat Fit 2012 helping me to reclaim my old wardrobe! HUZZAH! It's going to be an interesting spring semester that's for sure. The case of the incredibly shrinking Professor!
The skirt is from Tripp NYC and has a wonderful buckle detail around the top, which I'm covering with my big, cabled black sweater. It's been cold and snowy here in NYC and I wasn't about to freeze when we went out on Friday night. Berry colored leg warmers and my Fluevog MaryJanes added a little sass to the whole look.
I've been playing around with Maybelline's newest cream eyeshadow, "Color Tattoo." It's supposedly a 24 hour eyeshadow that won't come off until you take it off. I haven't tested it yet via a night of dancing; however, I lured Ed into doing some Bat Fit dancing on Friday night and the eyeshadow was intact after an hour of bouncing around the apartment. Yes, I was sweating. I'm wearing #40 Tenacious Teal and #15 Audacious Asphalt. This stuff goes on like a dream -- it's creamy and blend-able -- and comes off just as easily. However, the palette is limited and tends to be on the lighter side. I really hope Maybelline comes out with some darker and more dramatic colors.

Skirt: Tripp, NYC ... Torrid
Tights: Target
Legwarmers: Target (they're having a sale right now)

You look fabulous darling! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you mentioned you tried the Color Tattoo by Maybelline. I had it in my hand as I loved the gold color, but put it down as I've never tried a cream shadow. I have to admit I do like the name of the eye shadow line and the color names *Wink*
Aw, thanks! It feels completely different than other cream eye shadows I've used in the past. It's richer and much more forgiving, and completely blendable. Use a brush though; I don't like the way a sponge applicator moves the color across the eye lid.
DeleteCongratulations! :-D
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks!
DeleteCongrats!

Thanks!!! :)
DeleteThat's so great to hear that while you are shrinking your wardrobe is growing. I haven't shrinked into another cloth yet, but I will have to loose a lot more pounds for that. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's quite an amazing feeling. :) Keep up the good work, dear friend. WAHOO!
DeleteDid you notice that that eyeshadow line didn't have a black? None of the racks I've seen have a black. I find that super odd. Maybe they're just sold out of it and I didn't notice? As if I need more black eyeliners.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, it doesn't have a black. :( I'm assuming since the line came out at the beginning of cruise season/the spring that black isn't on the color chart. Hopefully it will be soon.
DeleteCongratulations! You look soooo cute! I absolutely love that skirt, pink is one of my favorite colors. :)
ReplyDeleteTry the Mabelline Pomegranate Punk. A lot of makeup sites I follow have been swatching it and it's really pretty and lasts super long. As a heavily tattooed woman I tend to shy away from things trying to "jump on the bandwagon" so to speak of tattoos- BUT.... I have heard a lot of good things about this stuff.
BTW, I just switched my blog from wordpress to blogger and added myself to your Google Friend Connect.
Cheers!
Aw, thanks! Will do, thanks for the suggestion. I hear you. I'm getting my other half sleeve done starting in March so I understand what you mean. However, I think the name fits -- you really need to take this stuff off because it doesn't come off or fade.
DeleteAWESOME! (((HUGS)))
Congratulations on the weight loss!Keep up the good work.
ReplyDelete(know I have "pretty in pink" stuck in my head....)
