Baby, it's cold outside! And in some places here in the Northern Hemisphere there's tons of snow, frost, ice and other things that make you go "brrrrr." But instead of lamenting the white stuff and the cold, I challenge you, dear readers, to embrace it and be inspired by its beauty. That's right, your Homework Assignment for January is to showcase an outfit, makeup, art piece, etc. inspired by snow, ice and frost. It can be all white, perhaps filled to the brim with glitter, or maybe some fun hairfalls and makeup. How about a poem, song, or painting? Or perhaps it's the outfit you don when you go skiing or ice skating with friends. It doesn't have to be white, but it does have to be inspired by snow, ice and frost. Good luck!
Here are some images to inspire you. Following the images are the rules for the homework assignment.

Great homework idea! I have the time to do this--and I'm in the northern hemisphere, so I'm hoping it'll snow here in Atlanta!! though not likely for January! It's cold enough though!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a losy winter weather here. Tons of snow one day and rain the other. Maybe there will be an oportunity to take som winterpicture for a challenge post in the end of the week. It was a nice idea for a homework assignment
ReplyDeleteThis will be super fun! Of course, no snow in SoCal but I can pretend. Currently, the outfit I envision in my head is pretty much impossible, but it'll be fun to creatively translate it into what I can do with what I have. :)
ReplyDeleteI just moved from Texas to NY so this is my first winter with SNOW! Yeah! Thinking up ideas....
ReplyDeleteHexotica: You never know with this crazy winter weather we've been having in the States! It was 31 degrees F in Jacksonville, FL yesterday! brrrr! You might get a nice frost or some ice. :) I'm looking forward to your contribution!
ReplyDeleteLinnea-Maria: oooo ... that does sound miserable! Snow followed by rain sounds so dreary! BUT rain produces ice and that might be quite beautiful. Can't wait to see the pictures!
VK: I knew you would come up with something spectacular! :) Let's see it, oh creative, fashion guru!
Lady Bethezda: NY? You're in NY? Me too!!! Welcome to the Empire State! YAY!
Oh man, I'll have to predend to have seen snow. It's currently around 35 degrees celsius everyday here in Perth, and has never had snow :(
ReplyDeleteNatalie: Think white, silver and sparkly. Think cold ... very cold. Sometimes ice can be green or blue depending where it is, what kind of water it's made with (salt or fresh) and how cold it is.
ReplyDeleteOooooh I have just the thing! I made a giant headpiece to wear to a winter ball and ended up not attending. Now it will no go to waste. :D
ReplyDeleteElectrobat: Ooo, I can't wait to see it! FUN!!!
