Naked November!


Welcome one and all to Le Professeur Gothique's very first Monthly Homework Assignment: Naked November! This month I challenged you all to show your naked faces, to describe your face care routines, to talk about what you like and dislike, etc., etc. Without further ado, I give you my naked face, all close up and personal.

Today Mom and I went for haircuts, after which I headed over to her house to "tuck the garden in" for its long winter's nap. In other words, it was a perfect day for a naked face. :) As you can see from the above photo I have have relatively porcelain skin, though my pores are getting larger as I get older. Growing up I never really thought about what I liked or disliked about my face. What I saw when I looked into the mirror was a perfect amalgam of my Mom and Pop -- very Polish/Russian/Mongolian -- and shared by siblings and cousins alike.

As you can see, I have blonde eyebrows .... yes, I'm a natural blonde and I dye my hair pitch black. The only thing that really bothers me about my face are my two moles, one on my forehead and one on my chin. I actually went to the dermatologist to see if he could remove them with laser surgery. Alas, he couldn't because the moles are too deep. The procedure would leave terrible scars, which I have enough of from chicken poxes, shingles, and getting my nose pierced. So, I have two moles and do my best to ignore them.

I noticed that my eyesight is getting worse and that I have to wear my distance glasses more and more. I suppose you'll be seeing me with my glasses more often. I have two pairs of glasses with the same frames. My reading glasses were the ones I'm wearing above (black and blue) and my distance glasses were the same frames but in brown. I had the lens switched this afternoon because I prefer the black and blue frames for everyday.

  2. Kamyria Magdalena Mourn: Thank you very much! :D Yes, I do. I actually have more Polish than anything else since it's on both sides; but my grandmother on my Mom's side was Russian and Mongolian.

  3. I am also secretly a natural blonde (probably, my natural hair color hasn't been seen in over a decade) and am always surprised that no one notices the brow mismatch when I go out un-made-up.
    You have fantastic skin, by the way. And a great Halloween tree!

    I love how the black hair looks on you. I'm too chicken-hearted to ever try and dye my hair black.

    I've had a mole removed years ago. The ugly scar looks worse than the mole ever did. So don't worry! Others probably don't even realize it's there.

    Sal: My hair is a little darker than yours. Like Sabayon I haven't seen my natural color in YEARS. Gosh, I started dying my hair when I was 15 -- pink of course -- so that means it's been 24 years since I've seen my real color. Wow.

    That's what the doctor said, that the scar is going to be worse than the mole. My bangs cover one, makeup covers the other one. :D
